Dr. Michael Florek is a Board Certified specialist in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (ONMM) and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. He completed his residency at Larkin Community Hospital in Florida, where he served as Chief Resident and developed a strong clinical interest in cranial osteopathy, diagnostic musculoskeletal sonography (MSKUS), interventional injections, regenerative medicine, and pediatric manipulation techniques.
He is currently affiliated with Lenox Hill Hospital within the Northwell Health System and continues to advance the field of non-surgical orthopedics and non-pharmaceutical pain management.
Dr. Florek earned his medical degree from Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he received the Certificate of Honor for Outstanding Achievement in his specialty. He also won the national A. Hollis Wolf competition, one of the highest distinctions in the field of osteopathy.
Beyond clinical care, Dr. Florek has contributed to philanthropic efforts, organizing fundraising events for pediatric cancer patients. He remains passionate about advancing the landscape of Pain Medicine and believes in exploring the body’s natural healing capacity as a core philosophy in developing personalized treatment plans.
